Houston BOMA Operating Expense (OpEx) Report
The Houston Building Owners and Managers Association (Houston BOMA) created the Operating Expense (OpEx) report to provide local building owners and managers with a benchmark for building costs. The study is conducted bi-annually in odd years.
The report includes the average cost per square foot for the nine different expense categories. These calculations were further broken down by class (A, B, and C) and segmented into major submarkets.
Breakdowns of data by building class, property type, and lease type, as well as overall average occupancy rates, are also provided for each section. In addition, the report also includes overall data for all properties in cost per square foot and as a percentage of overall budget.
