Leadership Lyceum

The Houston BOMA Leadership Lyceum program is for professionals who have been in the industry for less than 10 years and are looking to develop overall leadership skills. The program teaches these future leaders everything they need to know about BOMA and our industry through discussions with CRE executives, local city officials, and learn about advocacy efforts within the CRE industry. The Foundation supports Leadership Lyceum by funding the program and the end-of-year Capstone project. Learn more about the program here.

Building Engineering Management 101

Houston BOMA's first original course, Building Engineering Management 101, was created by our most knowledgeable members to give building engineers a high-level overview of engineering best practices, property management, and effective communication skills that will help further their careers. With help from the Foundation, we were able to create and publish a course manual made exclusively for the class. Learn more about the course here.

Research

The Foundation helps fund Houston BOMA's important industry research efforts. Research programs include:

  • Houston BOMA Compensation Study, a report on salary and compensation benefits for CRE professionals;
  • Houston BOMA's Economic Impact Study, a report showcasing CRE's impact and contributions to Houston and Texas economies to stakeholders, local and state government, created in partnership with the University of Houston Hobby School of Public Affairs;
