1. Meet Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the certification exam, CMCP® candidates must demonstrate the minimum work experience requirements related to commercial real estate property management and industry training/professional development. Learn more at https://creci.org/eligibility-requirements/.
2. Prepare for the Exam
CMCP® applicants must demonstrate that they have completed verifiable professional development related to property management. Visit https://creci.org/information-and-resources/ for more information about the exam and study resources, including the CMCP™ Exam Prep Course, developed by BOMA and BOMI and available online.
3. Apply Online
Each candidate must complete a CMCP application before you can be approved to sit for the examination. View required documents and complete your application at creci.org.

4. Take the CMCP Exam
Once approved as a candidate, you will receive information on scheduling your exam, administered by Pearson VUE at one of their testing centers. You must take the exam within 180 days of the date your application is approved.
The CMCP examination is comprised of 125 multiple-choice questions, of which 100 questions are scored and 25 questions are considered pretest. (Pretest questions are unscored questions and do not affect the score.) The examination is strictly pass/fail based on the number of correct answers. 5. Receive Results and Obtain Certification!
A web-based score report will be available to candidates in their Pearson VUE portal within 24 hours following completion of the examination. Candidates who have met all requirements for certification should receive their official CMCP certificate within 8 to 10 weeks after passing the examination.
6. Renew Your CMCP
