With over 4,000 homeless in Houston, properties and tenants face panhandling, trespassing, and harassment on a daily basis. Is there a way to help reduce homelessness, provide meaningful change, not spare change, to those on the streets, and keep your tenants and buildings safe?
Join our breakfast forum on homelessness initiatives in downtown Houston to hear from public safety officials on community policing, the status of homelessness in Houston, how to reduce risk to tenants and properties and discourage crime, and how to educate your tenants on ways to provide meaningful change - not spare change - for Houston's homeless.
- Why is there a concentrated homeless population downtown?
- What is the city doing to improve the situation?
- What are Property Managers rights when it comes to protecting Building safety and tenant safety?
- How can the community help?
- How can the Commercial Real Estate Industry lessen the impact of the homeless population for tenants in the Downtown District?
The forum format encourages conversation and gives you the opportunity to ask questions and interface directly with our local officials. We want to hear your biggest concerns, so be sure to submit specific questions or a topic you want to see discussed on the registration form!
Officials will speak on their specific area of expertise within the topic of homelessness in Houston, followed by a Q&A session for an additional 40 minutes. Breakfast is included.
