Jim Kollaer is the Managing Director of Kollaer Advisors, LLC, a Houston based international consulting firm that provides confidential strategic advice and facilitation to business and community leaders on a wide range of strategic and leadership issues including real estate, change, transition, executive coaching and marketing.
His work focuses on real estate, strategic change, transitions (both personal and organizational), cultural factors that impact mergers and acquisitions, organizational development and marketing.
He was a partner in the Houston Corporate Services Operation of the Staubach Company (now Jones Lang LaSalle), a global real estate firm representing corporate users of real estate. He served a board of directors of 135 CEOs as President and CEO of the Greater Houston Partnership, an organization formed through the combination of the Houston Chamber of Commerce, The Houston Economic Development Council and the World Trade organizations. He led the organization from its early years through its development into an award winning economic development and Chamber organization.
He is a licensed architect, a LEED AP, a real estate broker and has practiced both professions for over 20 years. Kollaer received his professional degree in Architecture from Texas Tech University and did additional studies at SMU, the Glassell School of Art, and London School of Business.
